Pushpagiri College of Pharmacy, in association with the NSS Unit, IQAC, and SSGP, observed National Reading Day on 19th June 2026 at the College Library. The programme aimed to promote the importance of reading among students and to cultivate a habit of lifelong learning. As part of the celebration, the Students’ Union organized a collage-making competition based on the theme “Famous Writers and Their Journey,” encouraging students to explore the lives and contributions of renowned authors and their role in shaping future generations. The event also emphasized the significance of reading in the digital age by promoting e-book learning among students. Awareness was created regarding the accessibility and benefits of digital reading platforms. Furthermore, the importance and relevance of National Reading Day were explained to the student community, highlighting how reading enhances knowledge, creativity, and critical thinking skills. The programme successfully motivated students to develop and nurture their reading habits. The event concluded with active participation from students and faculty, making the celebration both meaningful and impactful.
