The Department of Pharmaceutics, in association with the Women Cell, IQAC, and NSS, organized a program in observance of the International Day of the Girl Child on 15th October 2025. The event featured a Self-Defense Training Session for female students and staff.
The program began with an introduction by Women Civil Police Officers Ms. Vineetha V and Ms. Saranya Mohan, who spoke about the challenges faced by women in society. A practical self-defense training session followed, equipping participants with essential techniques for personal safety.
Dr. Anjana M. N., Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics, welcomed the gathering, and Mrs. Teenu Anne Tony, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutics & Coordinator of the program, proposed the vote of thanks.
Mementos were presented to the instructors by Dr. Malini S., Vice Principal, and Dr. Anjana M. N.
The event served as an inspiring initiative to empower, support, and uplift every girl child, reinforcing the importance of safety and self-confidence among young women.
